Gilbert Chavez serves as Field Representative in Central & South Central Texas. He joined the staff of the SBTC in April 2013.
Gilbert most recently served as the senior pastor of Oak Meadow Baptist Church in Austin. Gilbert planted Oak Meadow in 1997 reaching 3rd Generation Hispanics (English preference). Oak Meadow has grown to reach multiple ethnic groups in multiple languages. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Dallas Baptist University.
Gilbert is married to Liz, and they have 3 children.
